F22 raptor W evo 61

Postby moparrulz on Wed May 28, 2008 6:24 am

This thing has got to fly pretty good with the 61 on it. I have a master air screw 10x7 3blade for now and it feels really good. I sure I need more prop.

I'm sure going vertical wont be a problem now.

BALANCE? Just don't slow down!!............Just kidding. I did rebalance it and added 3 1/2 oz in the tail. I weighed the plane , 6.5 lbs no fuel.
I don't want to put 3 1/2" wheels on it to get off the grass. It will look stupid so the 61 will rip through the grass no problem.

I was up at the field Friday afternoon . Don and Bob just finished cutting the grass. They mowed it as low as possible.

Hey Will, that was interesting! Looks like it need some right thrust on the motor,or the nosewheel is twisting on you.. Or just learn to take off!! hahaha!!

It goin to the left all the time seems like a thrust issue.. The prop spins right and throws the plane to the left. Kinda like what makes a heli want to spin oppisite the main rotor. But the gyro stops that from happening..

Youll get it,just hold right rudder longer. Alot of warbirds are like that you need to hold rudder all the way until liftoff.

IF you remember my takeoff with the Typhoon it went left cuz I didnt hold rudder long enough..Ugly takeoff for sure!!
